These terms cover your use of this site and anything you buy from it. Ordering means you accept them and the RUO Agreement, which forms part of these terms.
Eligibility
You must be 21 or older to order. By placing an order you confirm that you are, that you are acquiring the material solely for in-vitro laboratory research, and that you are qualified and equipped to handle research chemicals safely.
Research use only
Everything we supply is for laboratory research only. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic or supplement, and it is not for human or veterinary use in any form. The full terms of that restriction are in the RUO Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not order.
Orders
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. An order is accepted when we confirm dispatch, and until then we may refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected resale for human use, an incomplete address, or an unverifiable payment.
If we cancel an order you have already paid for, you get your money back in full.
Payment
We accept Zelle and cryptocurrency. Payment is due in full before dispatch.
Both methods are effectively irreversible once sent. We cannot recall a transfer, and neither can you. Check the payment details shown at checkout carefully before sending. We are not responsible for funds sent to an address or account that you entered incorrectly, or for funds sent to anyone impersonating us. We will never contact you asking you to resend a payment to a different address.
Cryptocurrency amounts are quoted at the US dollar value at the time of checkout. If the coin value moves between quotation and confirmation, the dollar figure on your order stands.
Certificates of analysis
The certificate published for a lot reflects the analysis performed on that lot. It states identity and purity. It is not a warranty that the material will perform in any particular way in your experiment. If what you receive does not match its certificate, tell us and we will make it right.
Delivery
Dispatch and carriage are covered on the Shipping page. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes on delivery and full payment, whichever is later.
You are responsible for confirming that importing and possessing the material is lawful where you are. We are not liable for shipments seized, delayed or destroyed by customs or any other authority, and no refund is due in that event.
Returns
All sales are final. We do not accept returns on shipped product, and refunds are limited to the specific circumstances set out in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any point before dispatch.
Using this site
Do not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, scrape it at volume, or use it to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or close any account, and cancel any order, where we believe this has happened.
The content of this site, including text, photography, product data and the Ascend Aminos name and marks, belongs to us. You may not reproduce it commercially without permission.
No warranty beyond the certificate
Beyond the identity and purity stated on the certificate for your lot, the material is supplied as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for any loss arising from use of the material outside its stated research-use-only purpose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Your responsibility to us
If you use the material outside laboratory research, or supply it to anyone who does, you agree to cover the cost to us of any claim that results, including reasonable legal fees.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Virginia, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date you place your order, so check it before ordering. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
